IT CAN’T HAPPEN HERE —-OR CAN IT?

Election day is fast approaching. Be prepared! Here are some possibilities.
November 5,2024. Donald Trump claims that he is re-elected president by a landslide. It’s a possibility, but not probable. It’s possible that he is elected by Republican controlled legislatures who send slates of politically appointed electors to vote for Trump. He might really lose the election by over eight million votes. He claims that the state legislators have the right to pick electoral college representatives and further, that any election result which is against him is “rigged” and unlawful. He reasserts that the 2020 election was stolen from him. Or alternatively, he really wins the election because you didn’t get out to vote and we are paying too much for food and gas.
The MAGA people are celebrating and say that by electing Mr. Trump we have been spared a violent uprising of huge proportions. They truly believe that we are going back to a BETTER, SIMPLER, HAPPIER time. They think that Trump will solve all of their problems and that “America is going to be great again! “
Let’s play Nostradamus and predict, with some exaggeration for entertainment, what may very well happen. Nostradamus was a celebrated French prophet and astrologist whose predictions were broad enough to have been credited with foreseeing the death of Henry II, the Great Fire of London, the coming of Napoleon and of Hitler, the atomic age, the fall of the Twin Towers and World War Three. “Nonsense” you say, but many people, including Nancy Reagan, believe in astrological predictions, she consulted an astrologist before advising her husband on many official matters and before scheduling events in the White House. So- What is going to happen?
Make believe- Mister Trump is not sworn in by the Chief Justice. Just the opposite. Mr. Trump raises a bible over his own head and declares that the presidency was really his four years ago and that the Supreme Court is charged with loyalty to him and shall follow his interpretation of the law. He states that he is our retribution and that all of the traitors and criminals, including the corrupt, lying news reporters with their fake news and their dishonest media companies and political cohorts like the Biden family, who charged him with crimes, will receive justice and will soon be convicted criminals themselves.
Donald Trump and his team have planned ahead this time. At his inauguration which actually becomes a huge fund raising event, they very well might stage a huge four-hour military parade with tanks, mobile atomic missiles, and flyovers by supersonic jet fighters despite the damage to the surface of Pennsylvania Avenue. The KKK garbed in white sheets and pointed white hats join the march carrying huge signs and banners displaying Trump’s picture with the new slogan. “America and Americans First.” There will be lots of prayers, possibly by carefully selected Black ministers. The blacks who supported Trump still do not get the real message.
President Trump enters the White House. He is shown sitting at his desk in the Oval Office. His team is standing behind him. He is handed a large number of documents each in a black covered folder. The very first official act is to pardon all the participants in the January 6, 2021, invasion of the Capitol Building. He then signs a pardon for himself and for all members of his family covering everything that he or they have done, may have done or will do in the future. He signs an order which provides that all charges or cases against him or his family be dismissed with prejudice immediately. Then he signs a similar pardon for each of his political team including Rudy Guliani.
The next document he signs and displays is an Executive Order confirming that he, as President, has total, unlimited immunity. This document has already been approved and pre -signed by a majority of the members of the U.S. Supreme Court.
He signs an Executive Order completely closing our Mexican border to all foreigners without passports and immediately expelling all immigrants without official papers, who are to be rounded up and deported without hearings.
Another decree dissolves the White House Press Corps. Only approved media will be allowed at any White House press briefings and all questions will be respectful of the president and will be submitted in writing. All reports of the president or his political party will be submitted for approval to his media corps before being published.
All federal, state and local government officials including the FBI, the CIA, the IRS and the DOJ and all judges including the Supreme Court, all legislators and all members of the military and National Guard will immediately be purged. They will all be required to sign a pledge of loyalty to Donald Trump. Those who refuse will be dismissed without benefits and are to be investigated by the FBI for “un-American activities” and charged with this new crime. They will then be audited by the IRS.
As part of his promise of retribution a Trump enemies list will be published. Each of them will be charged with a crime and prosecuted by the Justice Department. Anyone on the list may be fired by their employers without any benefits including any savings plans, have their passports cancelled and be investigated as un-American.
The entire Biden family as well as Pamel Harris will be charged with the new crime of sedition and disloyalty. They will not be entitled to a jury trial under the new law which will apply retroactively. The judge will be a Trump loyalist. Judge Cannon will not be available since she will have been appointed to the Supreme Court to replace Justice Kogan who has been pressured to resign.
Nostradamus has given us a start. Future articles will give us insight into the new immigration law and invite us to consider what will happen to woman’s’ rights. Hopefully, it will make you want to vote.
